The purpose of leaving Quartzsite and coming down to the Yuma area was twofold. One to see some new area and give us a fresh view out our windows. Two is to make our drive to Larry and Patty’s place in a couple of weeks a bit shorter, 97 miles shorter to be exact.
This winter down on the desert has seemed to be blessed or cursed depending on how one views it, with a large amount of wind. The higher wind had the effect of keeping us pinned indoors more than we like to be. But as with all things, this shall pass.
Yuma did give us the opportunity to see the wild burros, as well as giving the kids a chance to come down and visit us, which was absolutely wonderful.
Moving or travel day. Up early and got things closed up and loaded, hooked up. Went into Quartzsite to RV Pitstop and dumped, filled with water and propane. Made run to Yuma, checked out Mittry lake, but no room at the inn. Came out to Senator Wash, found a spot and setup. Windy afternoon and weather is calling for windy days for the next couple of days.

Another really nasty windy day, imagine that here in quarts Yuma. So we just kind of tried to stay out of the wind and drank a little beer and didn't get much accomplished. The wind died down in the evening, and we went down to the showers by squaw lake and took a shower. Cindy decided she really likes them things.
Cindy and Linda went to Mexico with Kathy and David today. Chloe and I just hung out here at the trailer and didn't do a lot. Just kind of enjoyed the day. Watched a few YouTube videos and that was about it. Yes, I did do something else besides just watch YouTube videos today. Went ahead and built out our trip through the end of the year, of course that is subject to change depending on anything that might come up. Did get a bunch of the reservations made that are necessary to get us all the way to Wichita, Kansas.
Rode into town with Linda to pick up her new lithium batteries. When we got back, installed one battery in her existing battery tray. The other battery is going to have to be in the compartment right behind the door in order to be able to fit. Measured for the length of wire needed to connect the two items, as well as how many chair lugs will be required to make the connection. Ran down and got a load of water and brought it back and put it in Linda's RV. Call Lynn talked with Ben and Missy for about an hour and enjoyed the chat. Looking forward to them getting down here, so we can enjoy them.
Cindy for whatever reason decided she had to have a day alone in Yuma. So without the truck or anything here with tools I have spent the morning watching YouTube videos, oh boy how exciting. Wind blowing like hell again just like yesterday.
Ben, Missy and kids got here around 2pm. Kids having a good time on their bikes.
St Patrick's Day, our anniversary and Landon's birthday. Watched a few games of March madness. Ruben's for supper.
Went down to Senator wash and played in the water. Also, steak dinner and fire with Ben n Missy supplying the steak for everyone. Began loading the truck for tomorrow's move to Larry n Patty's.
Moving day. Travel to Larry and Patty’s house. Arrived after 2pm, having to deal with 3 potty breaks for the women, Linda getting propane and us getting some fuel.
